One of the beams in the Darnay cellar bears the year 1644, so the origins of the building go back to the time of Turkish occupation of Hungary. Beside tasting exquisite wines, the garden also serves as a venue for picnics and the event hall for gatherings with families and friends. Enthusiasts can enjoy a nice exhibition on viticulture and oenology as well as the life of scientist Dr. Béla Darnay-Dornyai whose name was given to the cellar.
